Emergency Battery Charger

Emergency Battery Charger
Specification No. EDTS 163
Description :
- The charger is designed to operate at nominal 230 V single-phase AC supply. This charger, with galvanic insulation from the mains, is the power supply for all the consumers in the coach at 110 VDC level in the absence or failure of the main battery charger, with current and voltage limitations. The input and output of the battery charger are protected by user-replaceable fuses.
- Suitable for operation on rolling stock applications.
- Step-down converter using transformer and full bridge half-controlled rectifier, with low losses and hence high efficiency.
- Provides current limiting facility at output and input short circuit protection.
- Modular design for ease of maintenance with firing angle control technology.
